Binance, a leading player in the cryptocurrency market, has announced the launch of Agent OS — a new platform designed for professionals creating AI agents. This system provides agents with direct access to Binance exchange data, the ability to monitor user accounts, and, most importantly, the ability to launch trades. Support is not limited to specific bots but includes popular tools such as ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor. Thus, developers using these technologies can easily integrate them into trading processes, while regular users can trust them to perform certain tasks.

The main principle of Agent OS is to maintain control over the user. Binance has implemented a multi-level restriction system: account holders can create separate subaccounts for agents, isolating core funds and transactions. Limit settings are available for trade volume, transaction types, and currency pairs. The user can also revoke the granted rights at any time. According to the exchange’s statements, it controls transactions via Agent OS but does not have access to agents’ external data sources or their internal decision‑making algorithms. The platform acts more as an interface than as a supervisor, leaving responsibility for strategies to developers and users.

Agent OS is also integrated with Binance’s payment tools and blockchain services, enabling agents to process payments and interact with decentralized applications. The AI gains the ability to act as a full‑fledged operator, managing financial flows within the scope of its assigned authority.

This initiative by Binance reflects a general trend among major crypto exchanges. In June of this year, Coinbase introduced a similar solution that allows AI models, including ChatGPT and Claude, to trade autonomously and implement strategies. Kraken, by contrast, takes a more conservative stance, offering an AI assistant that analyzes the market and provides recommendations, but requires mandatory human confirmation of each trade.

Other platforms are also experimenting with AI. OKX is testing a marketplace where AI agents can independently enter into contracts and complete tasks. This approach lays the foundation for a fully automated market. Industry leaders such as Brian Armstrong (Coinbase) and Jeremy Allaire (Circle) predict that in the near future, a significant portion of blockchain operations will be initiated by AI agents. Changpeng Zhao (Binance) supports this idea, calling cryptocurrency the “native currency” for artificial intelligence.
