Dylan Meisner, former vice president of finance at Delphi Digital, was sentenced to 4 years in prison for embezzling $4.5 million from the company. The court ordered him to return the stolen funds and pay compensation.
Meisner, who held the position from October 2021 to November 2022, used access to Delphi Digital's cryptocurrency wallets and bank accounts. In January 2022, he received $170,000 in a loan to cover personal losses, which he never returned. During the year, Meisner stole an additional $4.46 million, hiding the theft with forged financial statements.
After pleading guilty in July 2023, Meisner was released on $100,000 bail. The Ministry of Justice stated that he was required to appear in prison on February 21, 2025, and waived his right to appeal.
