Paxos, a leading blockchain company, has announced the acquisition of Membrane Finance, registered in Finland, to expand operations in Europe. Membrane Finance has an electronic money institution license recognized in 30 EU countries, which gives Paxos a significant advantage for launching euro-linked stablecoins.

As Paxos representatives stated, this is a strategic step for the development of the European cryptocurrency market. Membrane Finance has already released EUROe and eUSD, and Paxos plans to use these tools to increase transparency and liquidity.

This acquisition also complies with MiCA's regulatory requirements, which underlines the company's focus on long-term development in Europe.
