Tether, a company known for its USDT stablecoin, has enlisted the support of Bitfinex Securities and KraneShares through its Hadron platform. Together, they strive to create a comprehensive system for the issuance, placement and trading of tokenized assets in order to accelerate the development of this area at the global level.

In this partnership, Hadron is responsible for the technological part, turning ordinary assets into digital tokens. Licensed in El Salvador, Bitfinex Securities provides a legal framework and platform for trading these tokens. KraneShares contributes its assets and investment products to be tokenized.

The head of KraneShares, Jonathan Craney, has openly stated that this area is very important for their strategy. He stressed that the company is seriously aiming for the full tokenization of all its operations in the next 3-4 years.

If we talk about how this is useful for the market, then several problems can be solved at once. Tokenization of securities helps to settle transactions faster, otherwise it may take a couple of days in a regular system. Plus, the technology makes asset ownership clear and transparent, and also reduces costs through automation and fewer intermediaries.

But not everything is so simple, because there are difficulties. The main issue is regulation. In many countries, laws on tokenized assets either do not exist or are still being developed. For everything to be legal, major partners like these need to actively communicate with regulators around the world.

The fact that Tether Hadron, Bitfinex Securities and KraneShares decided to merge is quite expected, because traditional and decentralized finance are gradually converging. This shows that conversations about tokenizing real assets are turning into a concrete business: large companies are starting to build a real infrastructure on the market for this.
