Visa, the largest payment system, has announced plans to test a new system that will allow international transfers using stablecoins. The project will be implemented on the basis of the Visa Direct service, which already provides fast and convenient payment solutions.

During the pilot phase, Visa partners will be able to use USDC and EURC stablecoins to conduct transactions. Participants will be able to replenish their accounts in the system with digital assets, which will simplify financial transactions and avoid the need to reserve funds in familiar currencies. At the end of the transaction, the stablecoins will be automatically converted into the currency of the recipient's country.

According to Visa experts, the new service will be especially useful for small businesses and freelancers working around the world. This will greatly simplify and speed up the process of receiving payments from abroad, eliminating the long waits and fees of traditional bank transfers. In addition, given the instability of some national currencies, the use of stablecoins can be a reliable way to protect savings from inflation.

The launch of the pilot project with a limited number of participants is scheduled for the first half of 2026. This solution is a continuation of the company's previous developments in the field of digital assets.

Visa's actions confirm the active development of infrastructure for the future, where digital and traditional assets will work together in a single economic space.
