YouTube has updated the payout system for American video authors. Starting on December 11, 2025, members of the affiliate program have a cool opportunity: now you can receive money for advertising in a new way. An option has appeared in the Google AdSense settings where you can specify that it is convenient to receive payments in PYUSD.

These innovations affect bloggers who meet the usual criteria for participating in an affiliate program: from 1,000 subscribers on the channel and 4,000 hours of total video viewing time over the past year. Alternatively, you can get 10 million views of Shorts in three months. When the monthly income exceeds one hundred dollars, you can configure the settings for receiving money.

Now on YouTube, authors can receive payments in crypto – in PYUSD stablecoins. After enabling this option, YouTube transfers the authors their share of advertising (at least 55%) directly in these digital tokens every month.

The money arrives almost instantly. In a regular bank, a transfer in dollars could take a couple of days, but here it was done once, and everything was ready, thanks to the PayPal system.

The introduction of YouTube payments in PYUSD is a landmark step in the recognition of digital assets by the traditional financial system. It is a full-fledged financial instrument that has been integrated into one of the largest video platforms in the world.
