There has been a significant breakthrough in the field of decentralized finance (DeFi), making it easier for newcomers to enter. The Uniswap Labs team, the creators of the Uniswap protocol, has announced integration with the international fintech application Revolut. Revolut customers from 28 supported countries will now be able to easily purchase digital assets, including Ethereum (ETH) and USD Coin (USDC) stablecoin, directly from the web version or the Uniswap mobile app. You can use your Revolut balance or a linked bank card for payment.

Previously, getting to know DeFi required a bunch of steps: registration on a crypto exchange, verification, money transfer, waiting for crediting, buying cryptocurrency, and only then sending it to a non–custodial wallet to work with protocols like Uniswap. The new integration combines all this into one simple operation, saving time and nerves.

The main advantage of this partnership is the large–scale expansion of accessibility. Revolut is used by more than 35 million people worldwide. For many of them, who are already used to currency exchange, transfers and stock trading in the app, decentralized finance will be a logical and simple step forward.

From a technical point of view, integration is the creation of a secure bridge between the Revolut payment system and Uniswap smart contracts. Everything happens in the familiar Revolut environment, from authorization to transaction confirmation on the blockchain. It is important to take into account the terms of Revolut, such as fees and transaction limits, which depend on the tariff plan and the legislation of the country.

This update makes life much easier for users and opens up DeFi to millions of people. Such initiatives aimed at seamless compatibility are the foundation for the future of digital finance, where the difference between traditional and decentralized services is becoming less noticeable to the average user.
